To help us do our best to represent all of our clients, we kindly ask that our clients keep us updated periodically, notify us of changes in contact information, respond to inquiries from our office, and to continue their medical treatment if they can afford it.
If you have updated medical information...you have a few options. Our office has set up a medical information hotline that is checked daily. Call 248-837-2158 to leave a message regarding updated medical information only, including new doctors you are seeing, new medications you are taking, any recent hospitalizations, or if your condition has worsened. If we are close to your hearing date, please call the main office number let someone know this information so that your attorney can order these new records. Otherwise, call the above number for all medical records updated. This information will automatically be added to our client database, and the attorney will be informed of these updates.
If you have moved or have a new phone number...please give us this information as soon as possible! If we do not have updated contact information for our clients, we cannot inform you of important dates and deadlines, and this can be detrimental to your case. Call the main office number and tell John or Cheryl about any changes in your contact information.
If you return to work or are considering returning to work...first, please read our FAQs on this topic. Contact our office immediately and let your attorney know that you wish to return to work so we can discuss your options.
If you receive a call from an agent from Social Security...when you are represented by an attorney, Social Security agents are supposed to call us, not you. Unfortunately, we cannot always control who Social Security calls, and you may receive a call from someone at the Social Security office, especially at the initial application level. Please politely inform them that you wish for questions to be directed to your attorney, or contact our office and we will follow-up on these calls.
